Vision Hijacking
The Support That Isn't Supporting You

There's a razor-thin line between genuine support and strategic takeover. And if you're a woman over 50 with a vision worth pursuing, you've likely encountered both.
Some people genuinely want to help you succeed. Others want to co-opt your brilliance and reshape it to serve their agenda. The dangerous part? These ego-driven hijackers often masquerade as your most loyal supporters.
They speak the language of collaboration while systematically dismantling your clarity. They offer assistance while quietly positioning themselves as the architect of your vision. And they do it all with a smile.
But here's what you need to understand: You were chosen for the vision. It came to you for a reason. That divine download didn't accidentally land in your consciousness, it chose you because you are fully equipped to lead it.
The Anatomy of Vision Hijacking
Real support amplifies your voice. Vision hijacking mutes it.
When someone genuinely supports your vision, they ask questions like: "How can I help you execute this?" or "What do you need to make this happen?" When someone wants to co-opt your vision, they make statements like: "Here's what we should do instead" or "I think this would work better if..."
The hijacker doesn't just want to help, they want to rewrite the narrative, redirect the credit, and put their fingerprints all over something that was never theirs to begin with. They're not interested in your success; they're interested in being seen as the mastermind behind it.
And here's the insidious part: They often present this takeover as "improvement." They'll suggest that your vision needs their touch to be complete, their expertise to be viable, their connections to be successful. But what they're really saying is that you're not enough on your own.
That's not collaboration. That's ego in disguise.
Age with Power™ Advantage
Pattern recognition from decades of experience helps you spot manipulative behavior faster than younger women might
Financial stability often means you don't need to compromise your vision for funding or resources
Established networks give you multiple support options rather than dependence on one person
Life experience has taught you the difference between constructive feedback and controlling behavior
Confidence in your abilities makes you less susceptible to gaslighting about your capabilities
The truth is, support should never feel like silence. Real collaboration should never cost you your clarity or force you to second-guess your own brilliance.
When someone truly supports your vision, you walk away from conversations feeling energized, not confused. You feel more connected your dream, not distant from it. You feel empowered to take action, not paralyzed by doubt.
But when someone is trying to co-opt your vision, you'll notice a different pattern emerging. Your conversations with them leave you feeling uncertain about decisions you were previously confident about. You start questioning your instincts. You begin to feel like maybe you do need their involvement to succeed.
This is the moment where you need to pause and remember: The vision chose you. Not them. You!
Protecting Your Vision's Integrity
Your vision came to you in its pure form—unfiltered, untainted, and aligned with your unique divine design. When you allow others to reshape it according to their agenda, you're not improving it; you're diluting its power.
This doesn't mean you should reject all input or operate in isolation. Healthy collaboration enhances your vision while preserving its core essence. It adds value without changing the fundamental direction. It provides resources without demanding control.
But vision hijacking is different. It asks you to fundamentally alter what you received in that moment of divine inspiration. It suggests that your original download was incomplete or insufficient. It positions someone else as the missing piece you need to succeed.
The reality is that you already have everything you need to bring your vision to life. You might need to develop new skills, acquire resources, or build strategic partnerships—but you don't need someone else to take the driver's seat.
Your Power Shift Protocol™
Trust your gut when someone's "help" leaves you feeling confused about your own vision
Set clear boundaries about decision-making authority before accepting assistance from others
Document your original vision before sharing it with potential collaborators or supporters
Ask direct questions: "Are you here to support my vision or reshape it?"
Walk away from any partnership that requires you to compromise your core mission
The people who are meant to support your vision will respect its integrity. They'll ask how they can serve it, not how they can improve it. They'll seek to understand your perspective, not replace it with their own.
And here's what you must remember when you encounter those who want to co-opt what's yours: You don't need help that makes you second-guess your own brilliance. You don't need support that asks you to shrink.
Your vision chose you because you are the perfect vessel for its manifestation. Trust that. Protect that. And never hand your power to someone who can't follow without trying to take over.
The vision is yours. The power to execute it is yours. And the wisdom to protect it from those who would hijack it? That's yours too.
The world needs your vision in its pure, undiluted form—not someone else's interpretation of what they think it should be.
